ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Held over one day the Sydney Con International Jazz Festival is a boutique jazz festival presented in conjunction with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the Open Academy at the Con and Sydney Improvised Music Association.

This year’s Festival is on Sunday 2 June and is designed to be affordable, accessible and show case the best of Jazz from Australia, Sydney and the World. The festival uses all five of the Conservatoriums' beautiful concert halls and its world class facilities. Audiences are free to wander between acts and sample the many variety of styles on offer.

FESTIVAL PROGRAM

Legendary guitarist Bill Frisell and his Trio and the Billy Childs Quartet headline the Festival alongside Italian pianist Vittoria Messa, the Australian National Jazz Orchestra and a host of Australian artists drawn from across the country. Watch the video for a taste of this year’s program.
