New York jazz musician Joe Farnsworth is regarded as one of the leading jazz drummers in the world today, but as far as he is concerned, he is just getting started. He is dedicated to the great tradition of jazz drumming conceived by artists like Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Billy Higgins and Arthur Taylor. Farnsworth has appeared on more than 70 albums and shared the stage with such jazz luminaries as Wynton Marsalis, Cedar Walton, McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders, Kurt Elling and Diana Krall to name a few. In his formative years Farnsworth studied the drums with iconic jazz drummers Allan Dawson and Arthur Taylor.
