Warren Fahey AM is a cultural historian, folklorist, author, broadcaster and performer with a particular interest in Australian music. He established the Folkways stores, Larrikin Record label and, in 2002, Undercover Music. In 1995, after selling his record company to News Ltd, he became Deputy Managing Director of Festival Mushroom Records.
In 2002 he was Australian Music Industry Person of the Year. He has produced over 500 Australian albums and written over twenty books. Warren has been honoured with the Order of Australia, Prime Minister’s Centennial Medal, Advance Australia Award, and, in 2010, Australia’s highest award for lifetime achievement in music, The Don Banks Music Award.
