Greg Holdaway
Resume
Greg Holdaway has been training, teaching and investigating human movement and potential for over 30 years, including 10 years in dancing and 20 as an Alexander Technique teacher. More recently he has spent time in academic study and teaching in the areas of Anatomy and Physiology, Biomechanics and Motor Control.
His discovery of the Alexander Technique via a workshop with Master teacher Marjorie Barstow was a life changing experience. A professional dance background left him with a range of injuries and tension problems. The technique alleviated the pain from injuries, and improved his ability to move with clarity, ease and enjoyment right from the start. Now he is fascinated by finding ways to improve people’s functioning given their diverse backgrounds, interests and habits. Alexander teaching in that sense is a great journey of discovery with each student.
Greg has experience in a wide range of settings, and have worked extensively with musicians and singers along with rehabilitation and training in dance, sports and the general public.
