Nick Hoorweg

A Canberra native and graduate of the ANU School Of Music, Nick Hoorweg has been living in Sydney since 2005. As a full time freelance professional bassist and vocalist he is comfortable performing in many different musical genres, but has a particular love for the soul and R&B music of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.
Nick performs regularly with Sydney-based artists: Monsieur Camembert, Pat Powell, Jo Fabro, and Adam Pringle.
Since 2015, Nick has also played the role of Sir Paul McCarrotney in ARIA nominated children's band The Vegetable Plot.
Some of the artists Nick has performed, recorded and toured with in the past include Lanie Lane, The Pigs, Glenn Cardier, the late Candy Royalle, The Stiff Gins, Microwave Jenny, Ben Hauptmann, Tim Rollinson, Brian Campeau, and Lisa Hunt.
Nick has toured extensively throughout Australia and performed at major music events including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Splendour In The Grass, Tamworth Country Music Festival, The Falls Festival, The National Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, The Gympie Muster, Queenscliff Music Festival, and The Southbound Festival.
