These classes are designed for students who wish to develop confident improvisation, aural and sight reading skills. THIS IS A LIVE AUDITION
JAZZ ENSEMBLES COMMENCE ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:

Monday 12 October - 6.30-8.30pm (tutor – Andrew Dickeson)
Tuesday 13 October – 6-8pm (tutor – Ron Philpott)
Wednesday 14 October – 6-8pm (tutor – Hannah James)

The fee for the 8 week term is $495. If you enrol for an audition by 21 September, you will only pay the Early Bird rate of $435.60 for the term (12% discount), providing you are successful at audition. If you are a full time student or hold a current pension/healthcare card you are eligible for a 15% discount. You can enter your ID number at checkout to receive this discount. PLEASE NOTE: We will only audition positions that are vacant. Current students have first option to re-enrol. We will inform you if there are no spots available to audition for asap and refund your audition fee.

*This is a face to face class at the Conservatorium building
Entry requirements: Ability to read music*. Some previous vocal tuition. All students are required to present a song in front of the class in Week 1 accompanied by Alan. Please come with a song prepared and 2 copies of the vocal score (piano and vocal parts together in one score), one for the pianist and one for you either taped together, bound or in a display folder. Performance from memory is encouraged but not required.
*(but you do not have to be a great sight singer)

Jazz Guitar

This course is aimed at intermediate level guitarists who want to expand on their jazz knowledge while meeting other players of a similar level. This is an FACE TO FACE class in the Conservatorium building
Entry Requirements: Intermediate level players with some existing jazz playing experience. Knowledge of major scales, key signatures and some jazz chords is required.
Students will need to bring their own guitar and lead. Amplifiers will be provided. Acoustic guitar is also welcome.

Piano for Beginners Level 1
