CONstant Voices Choir

The Sydney Conservatorium 's Open Academy has started a daytime course in accappella ensemble singing. Jazz Ensembles or Jazzgroup One - Audition

Jazz Ensembles (intermediate level) run on Mondays -*tutored by Andrew Dickeson* as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays - tutored by Ron Philpott. Jazzgroup One (advanced level) runs on Wednesdays - tutored by Brendan Clarke. AUDITION REQUIREMENTS A 15 minute unaccompanied audition to determine which ensemble suits you best. Jazz Ensemble classes will commence on Monday 1 May, 7 to 9pm (tutor – Andrew Dickeson), Tuesday 2 May or Thursday 4 May, 6-8pm (tutor – Ron Philpott). Jazzgroup One (advanced) will commence on Wednesday 3 May, 6-8pm (tutor – Brendan Clarke).

The fee for the 8 week term for each class is $495. If you enrol for an audition by 10 April, you will only pay the Early Bird rate of $435.60 for the term (which is a 12% discount), providing you are successful at audition.

The Contemporary Vocal Studio - audition

A short audition will be held for this course (formerly known as The Contemporary Singer – Advanced). If you enrol for an audition by Monday 10 April, you will only pay the Early Bird rate of $365.20 ( 12% discount) for the term, providing you are successful at audition.

Music Fundamentals Level 2

Unpack the language of music in this series of courses. This course extends the practical and theoretical skills achieved in Level 1 and also begins an extensive study of harmony, with an historic look at this development, analysing triads and their inversions, and culminating in a thorough study of all 7th type chords.
