Garrick Tang is currently completing his Master of Music Studies (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as a recipeint of a Commonwealth scholarship, having received his Bachelor of Music studying with Georg Pedersen at the Sydney Conservatorium. Garrick was the five-time winner at the Hong Kong’s Schools Music Festival, and holds licentiate diplomas from Trinity College, London in both cello and piano. As an orchestral musician, he has served as principal cellist at the Sydney Conservatorium Opera Orchestra, Co-Principal cellist at Sydney Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra, and was principal cellist at HKCSO, established by Dr. Yip Wai Hong. Garrick was also principal cellist at International Christian School’s String orchestra. Garrick performed with the Vienna’s Boys Choir throughout Europe and Asia as a representative cellist by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. He was also invited to be a guest cellist at the the inaugural Asia-Pacific Youth Symphony Orchestra Music Festival. Garrick is currently on faculty at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Open Academy and was an adjudicator for the Hong Kong Children and Youth Arts Association Competition.
