Rob holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from Sydney Conservatorium, and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) from UNE, and has performed in most of Australia’s largest venues, including the Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Cricket Ground, ACER Arena and the Myer Music Bowl. He is in high demand as a corporate performer throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and has sung in front of the Australian Parliament as well as multiple visiting heads of state. Rob has toured nationally with Newcastle Jazz group “Ultra Swing Lounge”, joining them in 2008.
In 2013, Rob was cast in the Australian National Production of Les Miserables, as Legles/Javert cover/Bishop cover, and remains one of the youngest Javerts in the world. Rob performed the role of “The Proprietor” in the Hayes Theatre company production of “Assassins”, joining them for an extremely successful season in the Sydney Opera House. He has since performed as Javert in Les Miserables (Packemin Productions), Walter in Chess (The Very Popular Theatre Company) and was cast as Dr Neville Craven, playing opposite Anthony Warlow in The Secret Garden (GFO).
As a passionate advocate of regional education in the arts, Rob gives a great deal of time to ensuring regional students have the same musical opportunities that city students receive. He regularly gives workshops for the NSW Department of Education and is featured artists coordinator and conductor of CAPERS (Creative Arts in Public Education, Regional Spectacular) in Tamworth. In 2016 Rob was a conductor on the NSW West of the Divide tour of Europe, conducting in venues throughout Vienna, Salzburg and Prague. He conducted a similar tour of Vatican city, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia in 2019.
