Mattea Osenk is a passionate teacher who enjoys guiding her students through a journey of musical development and love for music. She has been teaching throughout the duration of her degree both privately and in music schools. Born and raised in Adelaide, Mattea started her journey as a violist at the age of 7. A keen orchestral player, she currently performs casually with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and has held principal positions in the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. Mattea has also participated in numerous Australian Youth Orchestra programs held in cities around Australia and is looking forward to attending many more of their programs in the future. Mattea completed her classical performance studies at the Elder Conservatorium in 2022 under the tutelage of Keith Crellin OAM and Stephen King. Throughout her studies, she has been awarded various scholarships and prizes, including the Gustav Reimers prize, Varley Scholarship and Exhibition, and the Corinna D’Hage Mayer String Scholarship. Mattea is currently studying her Master of Music Studies with Roger Benedict and is thoroughly enjoying her music experience in Sydney.
