Emma is an award winning composer, arranger, producer and violinist who specialises in screen and concert music. Emma completed a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2017. In 2021, she won the APRA AMCOS Madeby composition prize, the 2022 Young Composer Award and the 2017 Watermark composition prize. Emma has worked in a large range of spaces within the musical industry, from orchestrating strings for Guy Sebastian, to composing sonic brand music for KPMG. Her compositions and arrangements have featured on shows such as “The Great Australian Bake Off”, “Home and Away”, “The Voice Australia”, Gordon Ramsay’s “Food Stars”, Channel 7’s “Spotlight”, various feature and short films such as “Rose Gold” (2023), “Strange Country” (2021), The Eels (2021) and “The Nameless Nazi” (2024) and promotional videos for Burnet Institute, Heckler Sound, KPMG Australia and Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. Emma is also a composer of concert music, and has been commissioned by APRA AMCOS, Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), Orange Regional Conservatorium, Phoenix Collective, Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB), PLC, Trinity, The Kings School and many more. Emma recently arranged and conducted an orchestral show of Roy Orbison songs performed at Hamer Hall, Qpac and the State Theatre by singer Damien Leith. Emma’s experience working in both classical and contemporary worlds allows her to present a teaching style is adaptable to every individual student.
