Simona Green

Born and educated in Italy, Simona Green has a Bachelor of Music from the Conservatorium Giuseppe Verdi in Turin. She studied flute with Maestro Giuseppe Nova and Baroque recorders with Maestro Lorenzo Girodo touring Northern Italy and Switzerland as a member of the Lotaringia Baroque Orchestra.
In Australia she has being playing early and folk music with Vento del Sud Ensemble and has also been involved with dance, theatre and poetry performances.
For the past six years she has been studying the piano with Maestro Mauro Colombis and at the end of January 2013 travelled to Perth for an intensive week of Dalcroze study.
Simona joined Bridges to Music in 2012, working and teaching with Jane Boyd in the Early Childhood Music and Movement and Pre Instrumental program.
Passionate about early childhood music education, Simona incorporates and combines models from Dalcroze, Kodaly and Orff’s teaching philosophies, creating structured and playful classes for the progressive development of music, movement, voice and creativity of the child. She continues to research and study these philosophies, building a solid foundation for the best in early childhood music education.
