Jocelyn Fazzone

Jocelyn Fazzone graduated in flute from Peabody Conservatory, the Conservatoire de Musique Geneva and Sydney University, studying under some of the world’s most outstanding flutists. She teaches flute for the Sydney Conservatorium High School and Rising Stars, and is the Chief Woodwind and Federal examiner, AMEB. Her students have achieved outstanding success in Australian and International competitions, orchestral auditions, scholarship awards and examination results. She has been the recipient of 19 Outstanding Teacher awards since 2004 for achieving the highest results in AMEB exams. Jocelyn was the flute consultant for the AMEB Series 4 grade books.
Jocelyn has performed on flute with the SSO, QSO, TSO and AOBO. She is a founding member of Windfall sextet, chamber music coach and frequent presenter on aspects of flute pedagogy and performance for the Australian Flute Festivals, Flute Society of NSW, Victorian Flute Guild, Flute Society of South Australia and Queensland.
Her career has also included the role of associate artist/piano accompanist with many of Australia’s leading flute players. She has made a number of recordings of flute and piano repertoire, and has also recorded for Fine Music and the ABC. She has authored and co-authored 10 volumes of flute materials, including repertoire, studies, teaching material and a pedagogical book on flute teaching.
