Natalia Andreeva

The Russian pianist and researcher Natalia Andreeva was born in St. Petersburg.
After receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Russia (Red Diploma, highest distinction), where she studied with the Russian pianist Viktor Abramov and the international concert pianist Andrej Hoteev (an assistant to the legendary Lev Naumov), Natalia received a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship for one year training program at the Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL,USA. In 2007 Natalia became a staff member at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In 2012 she completed her PhD in Piano Performance at the University of Sydney.
Natalia has given solo and chamber music concerts in Russia, the USA and Australia playing the repertoire from Bach and Beethoven to Franck, Scriabin, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Ustvolskaya.
Many of Natalia’s students have been prize winners in Australian and International competitions and have been awarded with the full musical scholarships at the most of Sydney’s prestigious private schools, such as: Queenwood School for Girls, Wenona School, Trinity Grammar School and Newington College.
During her career, Natalia has recorded a number of professional CD’s which have received critical acclaim in BBC Music Magazine, Classical CD Reviews, The Chronical, Music Web Int. and others. The Fanfare Magazine praised her as: “highly talented, intelligent pianist who offers a most rewarding program in superbly musical interpretations given with a rock-solid technique.” (Colin Clark)
Her recent CD – Galina Ustvolskaya: Complete Works for violin and piano with fellow Russian violinist Evgeny Sorkin was released in 2019.
