ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Conservatorium Open Academy is proud to collaborate with the Australian Flute Festival to present their 2025 Festival.

The Australian Flute Festival is a biennial event presenting recitals, masterclasses, workshops and competitions. The Festival brings together Australia’s best flutists and international flutists in a program for flute players, teachers and lovers of flute music.

All activities will be held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Registration Information

Registration opens on Tuesday 1 April at 1pm

Booking early attracts discounted rates for full festival and single-day passes, as well as Junior Day and Professional Learning Day. The following date ranges apply -

Supersaver: 1 Apr – 1 Jun
Earlybird: 2 Jun – 31 Jul
Standard: 1 Aug – 2 Oct
On the Day: 3 Oct – 6 Oct

Student and Pensioner rates are available for full festival and single-day passes, and the above promotional periods also apply.

Single-ticket Events

Individuals who are not attending a whole day of festival activities will be able to purchase single tickets to watch any of the following concerts or competitions -

Australian International Flute Competition Semifinal: Friday 3 October, 7pm

Festival Opening Concert: Saturday 4 October, 10am

Australian International Flute Competition Final: Saturday 4 October, 7pm

Latham Horn Concert: Saturday 4 October, 7pm

Ensemble Competition Final: Sunday 5 October, 2pm

Piccolo Competition Final: Sunday 5 October, 2:30pm

Young Artist Competition Final: Sunday 5 October, 4:30pm

Gala Concert: Sunday 5 October, 7pm

Festival Closing Concert: Monday 6 October, 3:30pm

Single tickets for these events will go on sale on Monday 2 June and will be priced at $30 standard rate or $20 for concession.
