Qiongzi (Vicki) Zheng completed her Master of Music (Performance) and Doctor of Musical Arts at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She was awarded the Margaret Henderson Scholarship (2016), Albert Scholarship (2017), Vice-Chancellor’s Global Mobility Award (2018), University Postgraduate Award (2019–2023), and the Isabelle Paulette Career Development Award (2024). In 2023, she received the Best Presentation Award at the XVII International Conference on Creative and Performing Arts in Rome, Italy.
Qiongzi is a proud mentee of Zhao Manqin, a world-renowned guzheng master and educator. She has performed extensively across Australia, including solo appearances at Government House, chamber concerts, and major cultural events.
She teaches guzheng in the Historically Informed Performance (HIP) Unit at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and offers courses through the Open Academy for students of all ages and levels.
Her teaching is grounded in a systematic approach, integrating:
• A progressive etude system, with focused development of right-hand and left-hand techniques
• Microscopic tone production training, refining touch, contact angle, and tonal variation at a highly detailed level
• One-to-one instruction with precise technical correction, addressing angle, force, motion efficiency, and biomechanical coordination
• A structured methodology that bridges scientific technique (anatomy and movement principles) with musical expression
Through this approach, students develop not only technical control and efficiency, but also a deeper understanding of sound production, expressive nuance, and the aesthetic principles underlying guzheng performance.
郑琼子毕业于悉尼音乐学院，获音乐表演硕士及音乐艺术博士学位。曾先后获得2016年Margaret Henderson奖学金、2017年Albert奖学金、2018年副校长全球流动奖、2019–2023年大学研究生奖，以及2024年Isabelle Paulette职业发展奖，并于2023年在意大利罗马举行的第十七届国际创意与表演艺术会议中荣获最佳演讲奖。
师从中国著名古筝演奏家、教育家赵曼琴教授。多年来活跃于澳大利亚各类音乐舞台，曾于总督府进行独奏演出，并参与多场室内乐音乐会及文化艺术活动。
现于悉尼音乐学院古乐系（HIP）教授古筝课程，并在Open Academy面向不同年龄与层次的学生开设系统课程。
其教学建立在系统化训练体系之上，主要包括：
• 循序渐进的练习曲体系，将右手与左手技术进行独立而有机的系统训练
• 微观层面的音色控制训练（音色控制），深入打磨触弦角度、发力方式与音色变化
• 一对一精细化纠正教学，针对手型角度、发力路径、运动效率及身体协调进行细致调整
• 将科学演奏方法（基于解剖学与运动力学）与音乐表达相结合的系统教学理念
通过这一体系，学生不仅能够建立稳定而高效的技术基础，更能深入理解音色生成机制，提升音乐表现力与审美层次
