Sebastian Mansell began studying the cello at age 7. He holds a First Class Honours degree from the Elder Conservatorium and is currently completing a Master’s Degree at the Sydney Conservatorium. Sebastian is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships that have allowed him to participate in masterclasses and take lessons from leading cellists in Germany and the UK. He has appeared as soloist with the Norwood and Unley Symphony Orchestras, with the Baudin Trio at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, with the State Opera of South Australia on tour and with Ensemble Apex in Sydney. Sebastian recently performed for Prince Andrew as cellist of the Torrens Quartet at the invitation of His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC.
