Christina Wilson – Biography
Christina Wilson is a Postgraduate Fellow and staff member of the classical voice area at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Previous tertiary positions include the Australian National University (2009-12), the University of Canberra (2013-19) and UNSW (2017-2022). She adjudicates and gives master classes nationally and internationally.
Christina has presented the TQI, BOSTES and NESA accredited VoiceWorks workshop at the Conservatorium Open Academy regularly since 2017. Her 1:1 and group class teaching are grounded in current interdisciplinary voice science practice. She is a National Director, the National Treasurer and NSW State Chapter Vice President of the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing.
A classically trained mezzosoprano, she is a winner of the Australian Singing Competition’s Marianne Mathy Award, a prize-winning graduate of the Canberra School of Music, the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and the National Opera Studio London singing professionally in opera, oratorio and recital performances throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia. She is a current member of the professional vocal ensemble Songmakers Australia, has recorded for SOMM and ABC Classics and is regularly broadcast on ABC Classic FM.
