Catalina has recently completed her master's in music studies (performance), at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as a recipient of not only the Commonwealth scholarship but also the Greta Davis scholarship for musically talented students and the Alan Hyland scholarship for instrumental studies.
Having worked as a casual teacher for various music education providers and private schools in Australia and Middle East. Catalina provides tailored lessons for each individual student to ensure that they make the most of their lesson time and enjoy the learning process.
Her teaching method is influenced by the European method which thrived through her teacher’s music education, studying with Paul Tortelier and Gregor Piatigorsky.
Catalina has worked with internationally known composers like Elena Kats-Chernin, Ann Carr-Boyd, Gerard Brophy, Marcel Khalife and many others, as principal cellist and soloist.
