Daniel is a composer, sound artist, lecturer in composition at the University of New England (UNE), and Western Sydney University (WSU). He is a Badugulang Fellow at the Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning and with the Advanced Higher Education Academy. He is an alumnus of the Centre for Research in New Music at the University of Huddersfield (UK), where he was awarded a PhD in composition with principal supervisor Professor Liza Lim and co-supervisor Professor Peter Ablinger. His music has performed by a range of new music ensembles and soloist around the world, including: the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Vertixe Sonora Ensemble (Spain), Music Box Project (Sydney), Sound Stream Collective and the Adelaide Philharmonic Choir, Two New Duo (Swiss), pianist Tamara Anna Cislowska, and percussionist Claire Edwardes.
