Jazz Piano: First Steps Level 2
Students will be extending the knowledge and skills that they gained in the level 1 course. By studying classic jazz tunes from the Great American Songbook and by many of the jazz masters, students will develop a deeper understanding of jazz harmony as well as melodies and rhythms unique to the jazz idiom. Blues Guitar will look into the Blues Form and discuss the cadence, primary chords, associated scales, tensions and stress points of the harmony and melody.
