Your audition will fall between 5pm-7.30pm on Tuesday 29th October 2019. An individual audition timeslot will be allocated to you. You will be notified of your timeslot by Thursday 24th October 2019. Applications close on Tuesday 22nd October 2019. If there is a specific time that you will not be available, please inform us immediately to aid with scheduling.

Your audition will fall between 4.30pm – 7.30pm on Wednesday 30th October 2019. An individual audition timeslot will be allocated to you. You will be notified of your timeslot by Thursday 24th October. Applications close on Wednesday 23rd October, 2019. If there is a specific time that you will not be available, please inform us immediately to aid with scheduling.

Woodwind applicants will also be required to present one prepared piece/excerpt, which will be sent to you by 16th October.

1. Video audition applications close on Friday 1st November. No applications will be accepted after this date.
2. Applicants who passed the video auditions will be notified by Friday 8th November.
3.Successful applicants will then be invited to participate in the live auditions on Tuesday 12th November. An individual audition timeslot will be allocated to you. If there is a specific time that you will not be available, please inform us immediately to aid with scheduling.

Kids at the Con School Holiday Workshops - 6-10 year olds

Kids at the Con School Holiday Workshops (6-10yr olds) will run for 5 hours each day, from 9am to 2pm. Activities include pitch and rhythm work using tuned and un-tuned percussion instruments, active listening activities, and the opportunity to make your own instrument. Parents/guardians are welcome to drop off their children in the morning, and return at 1.45pm for a ‘mini performance’ of the children’s activities from the workshop. Kids at the Con - Orange Class

For 4-5 year olds Building on foundational elements developed in the Red class, children are introduced to the first 5 solfa notes (doh-soh). Activities for group interaction are also encouraged as well as some exploration into improvisation. Our Orange class has a slightly faster pace than the Red class and begins to investigate rhythmic notation. As children do not have parents in class, it also encourages independent music-making. For 6-7year olds In the Green class, children continue to experience the elements of music through singing, moving and playing. Conventional music notation is introduced including rhythm, bass and treble clef. Ensemble work broadens to 3–4 parts and aural training also reflects this with more difficult solfege and learning of songs in more than 1 part.
