Contemporary Vocal Studio - Audition

A short audition will be conducted for this course You will need to enrol for the audition. Please prepare: a verse and a chorus from 2 contrasting songs (eg a ballad and an uptempo song) to be sung a cappella. There will also be some vocal exercises to be given on the day. Should you be successful, you will be emailed after the audition date with a link to enrol in the class itself. THIS IS A FACE TO FACE AUDITION

Notifcation of your specific 10 min audition time will be sent the week prior to the audition date.

Once you have passed your audition you will be emailed a link to enrol in the term class. The fee for the 8 week term will be $480. If you enrol for an audition by 13 January you will only pay the Early Bird rate $422.40 (12% discount) for the term, providing you are successful at audition. If you are a current full time student or hold a current pension/healthcare card you are eligible for a 15% discount.

Vocal Fundamentals

In this unique course, students will have the opportunity to work with two specialist tutors, developing fundamental skills in both vocal technique and music literacy in a fun and supportive environment. This will allow students to sing and perform with greater musical understanding. This is a face to face class at the Conservatorium building For adults (minimum age 16) Entry requirements: Ability to read music*. Some previous vocal tuition. All students are required to present a song in front of the class in Week 1 accompanied by Alan. Please come with a song prepared and 2 copies of the vocal score (piano and vocal parts together in one score), one for the pianist and one for you either taped together, bound or in a display folder.
