Vocal Fundamentals

In this unique course, students will have the opportunity to work with two specialist tutors, developing fundamental skills in both vocal technique and music literacy in a fun and supportive environment. This will allow students to sing and perform with greater musical understanding. Whilst the class is held in a group context, each class will consist of tutorials in smaller groups with each tutor, before the entire group comes together at the end of class for ensemble singing.... Vocal Horizons Level 1

For students with some singing experience, this course provides the knowledge and skills required to sing and perform with a well-produced voice. This is a face to face class at the Conservatorium building For adults (minimum age 16) Entry requirements: Ability to read music*. Some previous vocal tuition. All students are required to present a song in front of the class in Week 1 accompanied by Alan. Please come with a song prepared and 2 copies of the vocal score (piano and vocal parts together in one score), one for the pianist and one for you either taped together, bound or in a display folder. Performance from memory is encouraged but not required. *(but you do not have to be a great sight singer)
