Jazz Piano: First Steps Level 2

Students will be extending the knowledge and skills that they gained in the Jazz Piano 1st Steps level 1 course.  By studying classic jazz tunes from the Great American Songbook and by many of the jazz masters, students will develop a deeper understanding of jazz harmony as well as melodies and rhythms unique to the jazz idiom. Jazz Ensembles - Audition

These classes are designed for students who wish to develop confident improvisation, aural and sight-reading skills. They provide an ensemble-based environment for the development of personal jazz skills, along with an understanding of the dynamics at work in a small performance group.
