Rising Stars Audition - Jazz

How to apply Applications are invited from students who have been playing their instrument for at least 3 years and are over the age of 10. This class is for Students auditioning to join the Rising Stars Jazz Program in 2025.

There are 2 rounds. A video round, and a live round.

Videos should be uploaded to YouTube following the instructions provided above, and emailed to con.openacademy@sydney.edu.au.

Rising Stars Audition - Brass

Instruments welcome to apply are: Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Euphonium. Auditions for the 2025 program will be held on Friday 15th November 2023 from 4pm. Jazz Ensembles - Audition

These classes are designed for students who wish to develop confident improvisation, aural and sight reading skills. They provide an ensemble-based environment for the development of personal jazz skills, along with an understanding of the dynamics at work in a small performance group. A short audition will be conducted for this course You will need to enrol for the audition.
