This class is for Students auditioning to join the Rising Stars Jazz Program in 2026.

There are 2 rounds. A video round (due 5pm Monday 17th November), and a live round (held Monday 1st December from 330pm).

Please note, there is no in person activity on Monday 17th November. This is just the due date and time for your audition enrolment and video application to be received.

Videos should be uploaded to YouTube following the instructions provided below, and emailed to con.openacademy@sydney.edu.au.

Successful students will join the program from Semester 1 2026.

Contemporary Vocal Studio - Audition

A short audition will be conducted for this course.  You will need to enrol for the audition. Please prepare: a verse and a chorus from 2 contrasting songs (eg a ballad and an uptempo song) to be sung a cappella. There will also be some vocal exercises to be given on the day.
