Rising Stars Audition - Piano

This class is for students wishing to audition for the Conservatorium Open Academy Rising Stars Program. Students who have been playing their instrument for at least two years are welcome to apply. This session is for Rising Stars piano auditions only.

Your audition will fall between 4.30pm and 7.30pm on Thursday 25th May 2017. An individual audition timeslot will be allocated to you. You will be notified of your timeslot by COB on Monday 22nd May. Applications close on Sunday 21st May. If there is a specific time that you will not be available, please inform us immediately to aid with scheduling.

In addition to the instrumental audition, all successful applicants will be required to sit a Music Skills test. Attendance at this test is compulsory for all successful applicants. The compulsory Music Skills test will take place on Saturday 3rd June, 3pm-5pm at the Conservatorium. Please pencil this date into your diaries to ensure you are available if you pass the audition.

Impro Basics Level 1

This course is designed for instrumentalists with no background in improvisation. It provides students with an opportunity to play in a small group and to learn elementary theoretical concepts, historical knowledge and basic skills in the art of jazz improvisation.
