Entry requirements: Ability to read music*. Some previous vocal tuition. All students are required to present a song in front of the class in Week 1 accompanied by Alan. Please come with a song prepared and 2 copies of the vocal score (piano and vocal parts together in one score), one for the pianist and one for you either taped together, bound or in a display folder. Performance from memory is encouraged but not required.

This session is for Rising Stars brass auditions only. Instruments welcome to apply are: Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Euphonium.

Your audition will fall between 4pm- 6pm on Friday 26th October, 2018. An individual audition timeslot will be allocated to you. You will be notified of your timeslot by Tuesday 23rd October . Applications close on Friday 19th October, 2018. If there is a specific time that you will not be available, please inform us immediately to aid with scheduling.

In addition to the instrumental audition, all successful applicants will be required to sit a Music Skills test. Attendance at this test is compulsory for all successful applicants. The compulsory Music Skills test will take place on Saturday 17th November 4.00 – 6.00pm at the Conservatorium. Please pencil this date into your diaries to ensure you are available if you pass the audition.

Rising Stars Audition - Woodwind

This class is for students wishing to audition for the Conservatorium Open Academy Rising Stars Program. Students who have been playing their instrument for at least two years are welcome to apply. This session is for Rising Stars woodwind auditions only. Instruments welcome to apply are: Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Cor Anglais, Saxophone.

Your audition will fall between 4pm and 6.30pm on Friday 9th November, 2018. An individual audition timeslot will be allocated to you. You will be notified of your timeslot by Wednesday 7th November. Applications close on Friday 2 November, 2018. If there is a specific time that you will not be available, please inform us immediately to aid with scheduling.

Woodwind applicants will also be required to present one prepared piece/excerpt, which will be sent to you by 19th October.
